Thank the deities for a fulfilling  day job.

I “retired” once from the biz, but am so grateful for the distraction and creativity, and the trust of my clients.

I am a Canadian textile artist in Calgary, Alberta. As textile artists, we connect and are connected to communities larger than our Selves, or our immediate environs. We encapsulate culture, technique, history and innovation every time we touch cloth.

  1. working with plants is good food for the soul as well as keeping food in the bellies and a roof over the head, Old Man Crow & I would be homeless people if we relied solely on the meagre income from our art and music!

  2. As usual Mo Crow has it right! I remember when I living in Seattle and perfecting poverty and obscurity, an artist friend patiently explained to me that the great thing about a job is that it has income–“it comes in, month after month.” Hooray for day jobs that don’t shred our souls!
